All of these shoes are quite classic and if you can't hunt down the vintage pair, a quick pop over to Endless.com will probably result in a vintage inspired pair. I'm not quite sure about gloves, I've never cared much for them, although I still think they are quite appropriate for the opera. I do however, ADORE the white "double nylon" pair for $1.09 (save .40!) those are just so cute!

I think I want one (at least!) of every single pair! They're all darling, and so colourful, too.
ReplyDeleteI'm a glove fan, so I actually like several pair. The Meyers Make ones (in red, of course) and the ones just above them are very charming.
If shoes like that were on sale here, I would be in red numbers.
ReplyDeleteLucky me, and unlucky me!
Lindossssssss!

I would love it if all those items would be remade!
ReplyDeleteI love all the shoes! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I love the 3rd ad - the 3 heels on the top of the ad are to die for :)
ReplyDeleteSuch amazing shoes--especially love the green pair in the last ad! And I'd love a pair of the elbow-length gloves. I'm a little freaked out that the feet in the peeptoes have, well, no toes. Were toes considered too sexy for a print ad in 1955?
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I have a couple of vintage inspired shoes in similar styles. As for gloves, I'm a huge fan. I was so disappointed to learn that my mother (50's fashion plate) had given away a huge box of opera gloves to our high school drama department.
ReplyDeleteI have to say they just dont make 'em like they used too. What adorable shoes. I truly would be thrilled to own each an every pair. So girlie!
ReplyDeleteHow cute are these! I'd definitely want to wear them with gloves!
