Her process for designing was a lengthy one often draping and constructing miniature dresses on small wooden dolls. Madeleine was also known to have helped revolutionize fashion by introducing ready to wear mass produced clothing.

DeleteI have loved Vionnet since I first learned about her. Her designs are awe inspiring. The cutting & draping is so lovely. I saw a book once about her & it included patterns of her gowns. Oh, how I wish I would have bought it!! Thank you for featuring Vionnet.
