Sorry for the lack of updates to the vintage shop, but this weekend I'll be finishing up the NEW Adorevintage.com website, so all of these shop updates will be on the new shop page with a few available on the Adorevintage Etsy shop as well.

Vintage 1950s sundress, vintage dress from the 1950s

Last night I had a meeting with Richard Wainwright, co founder of the los Angeles vintage marketplace, A Current Affair, to discuss the upcoming show in the Fall and also the website itself. I'm really excited for this new opportunity to be able to help out a fellow vintage friend. You know what's interesting is that Richard and I are practically studio neighbors! If I were a couple floors higher in my building I could probably wave to him from my studio window!

Anyhow, back to the vintage shop update... this week's curated vintage collection I wanted to focus on Navy, Black, Blue, and a few icy pastels in the form of vintage lingerie and slips. I am so in love with the 1930s silk nightgown! It just screams Hollywood screen starlet, doesn't it? And the color is stunning. I honestly want a pair of marabou feather heeled slippers and a sheer embroidered robe to wear with it. But alas, the nightgown is too big and too long for me, so to the shop it goes!

So, I've been hanging on to so many vintage shoes! The new shop will have over a dozen pairs of shoes from the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s... very excited about all the new shop changes! I've logged over 50 hours working on this website... so I really hope when it is released you all love it as much as I do. A lot of sweat and tears went into the new design. :)

Be sure to visit the new Shop Adorevintage site this weekend to see when the new site is up and running! I'll still be making small tweaks here and there when it does go live...but still, at least all things will be functional and there will be lots of new vintage!

I spotted this editorial over at The Ones to Watch and had to share these lovely boudoir images with you. Shot by Paris based photographer, Melanie Rodriquez, these sun drenched photos makes me wish I had more free time to just laze around looking pretty in vintage lingerie.

I simply adore the floral wallpaper, textiles, and the lace panels of course. The wallpaper reminds me of my duvet covers when I was little. I hated them then because they looked "too old" (I was 9 and wanted polka dotted bedding...and still kind of do...)

Two weekends ago was the Spring edition of A Current Affair, the Los Angeles Vintage Pop-Up Marketplace held at the Cooper Design building in downtown Los Angeles. This was my second time participating in this wonderful 2 Day vintage event and as always I had a blast, met some really fantastic people, and was surrounded by racks and racks of beautiful vintage.

I adore these vintage photos of showgirls in Florida photographed by LIFE photographer Allan Grant. Their swimwear and beachwear is so darn cute! The weather in LA has been so wonky and chilly lately, it's making me a bit nostalgic for warm beach days in Florida. Although, nothing quite beats beach weather in California, it's just the Pacific coast is frigid! Enjoy the photos!

Day 1 of the Vintage Pop-Up Marketplace just ended (literally like an hour ago) and I was so excited about the event that I had to post my photos immediately! Last time I participated in A Current Affair, I really had no idea what I was getting myself into. I brought one rack the first day, my dress form, and a rug. I think my booth has improved since then, no? ;)

It was really cool to meet girls that were already familiar with Adorevintage. A few girls even told me they've been following Adorevintage for a couple of years now (hello there if you're reading this!). I think the best part though is when I get compliments from complete strangers how much they love the vintage clothes I offer and compliment my eye for vintage.

Oh, and finally got to meet Salvage Life and Just Say Native! We didn't get a lot of time to chat since everyone was so busy setting up then people started streaming in, but hopefully we'll get to have a good old fashioned "getting to know you...getting to know all about you..." chats. I did get to chat with Salvage Life's intern, Julia, who is as sweet as sweet could be.

Ahhh...and the highlight of my evening? Meeting French actress Clemence Poesy whom I adore! She is so very sweet and even wrote me a little message in my sketch book! *happy dance* This time meeting one of my style icons was a true pleasure unlike my last experience meeting another one of my style icons, Alexa Chung at the Vintage Fashion Expo.

If you follow Adorevintage on Instagram you will see my photo with Clemence, I am geeky happy and Clemence just looks cool as always. I'll be posting Instagram photos of the event tomorrow on AV Twitter and AV Facebook as well (so yeah, got all social mediums covered).

Until tomorrow! More photos to come!
