Now, before you get all up in arms about the nature of this post, I just want it to be very clear that I do not support the killing of any animals for their fur for shallow fashion reasons. I've recently posted a few photos on Facebook of stylish women in the 1930s and some fans have disliked the presence of fur trimmed garments. I of course never want to offend anyone, but just want to be clear that this post is purely for inspiration only, and not for any kind of platform for anti-fur or negative commentary.

If you do decide to wear fur PLEASE WEAR FAUX FUR or VINTAGE FUR

  1. I have a whole closet of Vintage fur. I always think better in my closet where its getting lots of love and attention than unloved in someones trunk in their basement.

    1. I agree! Or to sit rotting in an antique shop or at a thrift store. I think I own one vintage fur stole and I adore it so much. The rest of my vintage fur is just fur trimmed coats from the 50s and 60s and they're all faux.

  3. These are so sumptuous. I think buying vintage is the only way to go when buying fur. I actually posted a vintage leopard coat on my blog today and made sure to mention that I treat fur the way I treat ivory. Only buy vintage.

  4. oh WOW! these are AMAZING! i love my vintage 20s fox fur stole, really can't say anything about the moral issue involved... i'm not a vegetarian and i really hate it when ppl who eat meat boycott fur/leather clothes; i think it's just hypocritical.
of course i love animals and i'm against killing them for our fashion pleasure, but those fur activists just seem to have a little too much free time on their hands...
