Long before there was disco Cher (who is awesome) there was Native American/Southwest inspired Cher (equally as awesome). Ok, so maybe it's not too long before, only a few years. In the early 1970s Cher often modeled in Vogue magazine (probably a lot of that has to do with the then Vogue editor in chief, Diana Vreeland, who loved how Cher looked) and in most of these editorial stories Cher wore a lot of incredible Native American jewelry, colors, and textures. Also, can I just say how much I love her pin straight black mane? Makes me want to grow mine out then get a Brazilian blow out so I can channel my "take me back to 1973" native spirit.

All right, I know that last photo (in the bottom right corner) isn't of Cher, but you get the vibe. Here are some more Southwest/Native American fashion + lifestyle inspirations. Oh be still my heart... this vintage bohemian wedding just really touches me! It is so absolutely beautiful and all of the wedding dresses appear to be vintage. I can definitely recognize some Edwardian gowns, 1930s sheer dresses, and of course the long hippie maxi wedding dresses from the 1970s.

The head dresses are just GORGEOUS and a few of them look to be antique and vintage pieces. You can purchase these gorgeous accessories at Little Doe.



Ahh, isn't this bohemian inspired wedding just absolutely lovely? I don't know if I'm feeling what the guy is wearing to be honest...and in one of the photos he is most definitely wearing a woman's Edwardian blouse... but nevertheless, it's gorgeous and inspiring! I was browsing through one of my favorite wedding websites, Green Wedding Shoes and happened upon the most lovely Bohemian Black Tie wedding and knew immediately I had to share these images with all of you. The vases and flowers were actually already featured in the Vintage Inspired Interiors: My Bohemian Hovel post a few days back, so happy to see where the original source of this image is from.

This bohemian editorial is absolutely gorgeous and so reminiscent of the early silent screen stars from the turn of the 20th century with a hint of Moulin Rouge. I love how dreamy and ethereal this shoot is. And the flowing vintage inspired gowns, so very very beautiful!
