As you may notice from a previous wallpaper post, we love a good statement wall. We have been opening our eyes to bolder home decor lately and we are totally blaming Pinterest. We used to think that dark paint would close in a space and make it cave like, but we have totally changed our minds. If done right a dark paint can create a sexy and modern look. It can be done with one accent wall, but we really like the look of it in the whole room. Take a look below at some of our favorite inspiration photos via Pinterest and let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Lately on Adored Vintage Instagram it seems I have been doing a lot of mending and repairing of vintage clothing. Well, actually, it's not "it seems", I AM mending and repairing a lot of vintage lately!

A lot of times I am fixing ripped seams, replacing buttons, tacking down appliqués and details, and also mending holes and lace. It's a long process that requires a lot of patience. I find it so calming though!

Today's Monday Muse is stunning blonde bombshell, Ann-Margret, a Swedish born actress and dancer. To many she is known as the female Elvis and is rumored to have had a fling with him before he married his sweetheart, Priscilla.

She has had a long career in Hollywood and is best known for her performances in Bye Bye Birdie, Viva Las Vegas, and Tommy among many more. "She has won five Golden Globe Awards and been nominated for two Academy Awards, two Grammy Awards, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and six Emmy Awards. While we greatly admire her body of work, we have to admit we are mostly smitten the most with her va-va-voom vintage style. No one can pull off a sexy look like she can. And her come hither hair, it totally makes me want to go red! What do you think? Do you like Ann-Margaret as a blonde or a ginger?

Natalie Wood began received her big acting break at age 7 when she was cast opposite Orson Welles in the film Tomorrow is Forever. The next year she appeared in Miracle on 34th Street, which is now known as one of the classic Christmas films. Her career flourished and she went on to star in Rebel Without a Cause, Splendor in the Grass, and West Side Story. She appeared in 56 films and received 3 Academy Award nominations before the age of 25. Though her professional life was very successful, she struggled to find stability in her personal life. She married and divorced Robert Wagner, whom she would re-mary many years later, dated Warren Beatty, Elvis Presley, and Dennis Hopper. In 66 she attempted suicide and temporarily retired from acting. In the late 60s she had a short lived second marriage to Richard Gregson. In the following years she tried to resurrect her career doing some made from television movies. Wagner and Wood remarried in 1972 and they had a daughter. Her untimely death came on a weekend vacation trip to Catalina Island, off the coast of Los Angeles, where she was found drowned in the ocean. To this day the story of what happened is unclear. Fowl play was talked about but no charges we ever pressed. Such a tragic ending to for an American legends story.
