In our eyes Sophia Loren can do no wrong. She is known across the world as one of the sexiest movie stars, and boy does she live up to that title. Her life took an unexpected turn when she entered a beauty contest at the age of 14. She caught the eye of a producer who would later become her first husband. With his assistance she was put under contract and began working in film. She went on to work very successfully in the United States staring in films such as Legend of the Lost and Houseboat alongside Cary Grant. She starred in Two Women in 1960 which won her a Best Actress Academy Award. She was officially a movie star!

Sofia continued to successfully work and in 1991 she received an honorary Academy Award for her body of work and was named "one of the world cinema's greatest treasures." She still attends award shows and her fashion rivals all of the young Hollywood starlets! "Despite her position as showbiz royalty, she relishes her discrete, low-profile lifestyle, claiming throughout the years "Showbusiness is what I do, not what I am."

One of the many reasons we love Summer is that it is the official season of weddings! We have been pinning a little more than usual these past few days (well maybe ALOT more) and wanted to share some of our favorite vintage inspired wedding details with you guys. One thing we love about a summer wedding is what an amazing selection of flowers you have. One day when I tie the knot I will be putting peonies on everything I can! Make sure to check out our Pinterest boards, we are over there more often than not :)
