This was the first lookbook for my vintage shop that I styled AND photographed, so I was a bit nervous about how they turned out, but now I am so tickled about them! I've realized I never shared these beautiful images from the very talented photographer Ann He who I had the pleasure to work with last Spring. I was astonished to find out how young she was yet incredibly wise beyond her years. I know that sounds cheesy, but for a 16 year old, this gal has miles and miles of potential and talent.


I wanted to keep the wardrobe really simple but still feminine and have an ethereal feel. I know I could have made it even more fantasy, but around this time I wanted to get away from being known as too much of a "costume" stylist and be more recognized for "edited pretty" if that makes sense.

A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to style a 1940s vintage fashion inspired editorial with the talented Louiza Vick and the ridiculously pretty Sterling Clairmont. We shot in a lovely park in Malibu and I was ever so pleased that we got horses in the shoot! I didn't want the shoot to look overly costumed, so I tried to pick outfits that still appeared modern.

The AV Vintage May 2011 lookbook shoot was a really fun day spent with friends and a team of talented individuals. I had quite a lot of fun styling the shoot which was inspired by the 1960s (a modern take on Brigitte Bardot hair and thick lashes with coral lips). I wanted to keep the clothes very subdued with hints of cocoa and caramel here and there. You can purchase all the clothes featured in the lookbook at Adorevintage.com

I hope you love the new Lookbook images as much as I loved putting it together! Life is a bit hectic right now (I'm moving, again!) but hopefully will be able to create a June/July lookbook as I have so many ideas in my little noggin!

Last week I styled a fashion editorial shoot for Los Angeles photographer Huy Doan. We shot in this fantastic little guest house in Santa Monica filled with mid-century modern furnishings and nature found treasures.

When I was approached by Conan Thai to style a shoot I was really ecstatic. I had met him before through one of my friends, Sade Williams, and really loved his work.

I really love how the shoot turned out, it's vintage, it's lovely, it's emotional, fresh... I hope you love it as much as I do!

Last weekend I had a wonderful opportunity to style a rustic wedding inspiration shoot (which I hope will grace some of my favorite wedding blogs!) This was one of the bigger production shoots I've done with so many talented people involved. What a truly fun day!
