March 1, 2012
February hushed on by. It was one of those months where I was constantly doing something but yet felt like I hadn't accomplished much. And that feeling... I really abhor that feeling. I think it's because I am so hard on myself and set very high expectations. So, looking back at these captured moments gives me a bit of relief... you got things done old girl! You were productive! Granted most of these photos seem quite frivolous, but honestly, no one wants to see the boring bits of life (and there are many) captured on a square vintage inspired digital photograph.

White fences make me smile | Inside my kitchen cupboard

Macarons at work from Botega Louie | Macarons at Botega Louie close to work

My "castle" | Sleeping Beauty's Castle at Disneyland

Almost finished painting the atelier | The blue is all gone in the atelier

1940s Inspired Hair in 30 seconds | Vintage skirt and top, my usual uniform

I've decided I now like brussel sprouts | Discovered a new shop to love

I will probably always adore peter pan collars and bows | And clearly enamored with polka dots, still

Flowers picked up during a hike | A day at the coast

A scene from a beautiful antique shop | The vintage atelier all a mess

So, onwards to March! And Spring, beautiful Spring (although I do live in California, so Spring always seems just around the corner if not always present)... the trees are all flowering, blossoms are appearing in abundance on vines and bushes... the air is heavy with the scent jasmine, at least on my block. I've gotten into the habit of plucking a few here and there when I get home from work (because it's dark and for some reason that makes me feel less guilty) and placing these flowers all around my apartment. Natural (and free!) air freshener, of course.

    1. Thanks Catherine! I adore the little egg cups, they're so cute. I found these glass ones that seem like they're from the 20s or 30s, but they're so darn small! I have to wonder if eggs have grown in size since then.
