I often get asked what era is my favorite for vintage fashion in which I usually always respond that I like something about every era (because it's true, I really do!) But I do gravitate towards 1940s Hairstyles and vintage 1940s dresses when the colder months are around the corner.

Anyhow, I'm rambling... here are some vintage fashion and vintage outfit inspirations from the 1940s!

  2. What fantastic and inspiring pictures! I especially love the second-to-last pic of the ladies in sunglasses. I'm like you...there;s something I really like about every era, but I'm partial to the 40's. I love the early 50's, but clothes from the 50's don't always flatter me...the forties clothes fit my figure better. Lately I've been watching Boardwalk Empire and really loving those beautiful Roaring 20's clothes :-)

  5. 1940s fashion for women has a unique combination of Edwardian classic beauty combined with modern style as we know it today. The pics are great.

  7. I think is one important thing that not a lot of people think about when they try and purchase vintage clothing. I mean our idea of fashion as well as beauty is not the only thing that has changed. As great as the internet is, I feel that if one is thinking of buying vintage clothing that it is best to buy it in person so that you can try it on first.
