I adore this vintage photograph in so many ways. Her tilted cloche hat, her polka dot dress, the embossed hexagon print on her coat...and that saucy little expression. Love it! There wasn't a date provided on the photo, but my best guess is that it is from the late 20s early 30s (note the short hair, the cloche, and the thin eyebrows...)

I must say, I would wear this entire ensemble today just as it is. I wonder what the rest of her dress looks like...

A few interior design inspirations with lots of bright natural light and antique accents. The third photo is actually of Russell Brand and Katy Perry's house in L.A. (or at least the real estate picture of it) that I am kind of obsessing over.

I am so in love with this bed, a far cry from our quite modern West Elm bed frame. Well, one cannot have everything she wishes for, hm? Otherwise my apartment would be outfitted with antique treasures from 1stDibs. Although I am very happy to report that in a few days I will be the owner of a pretty Anthropologie-esque white antique dresser purchased from Craigslist. *happy little dance*

Coincidentally, this will be the first piece of furniture I've purchased that I was completely selfish about deciding. Usually I keep my husband's modern tastes in mind, but this dresser was too pretty to pass up. Pictures soon I hope!

I was pleasantly surprised to see { my apartment } featured on the lovely DecoFabulous in the "Real Home Tours" category. While this isn't necessarily about AdoreVintage, the article does mention how the editor thought it a bit surprising that the apartment is quite contemporary.

Ahhh, I'm married you see and when a very girly girl who loves antiques meets a very Mid-Century modern boy, we have to compromise. I haven't posted any photos of the bathroom which is incredibly vintage and feminine. (Pink tub, "Swan Lake" mosaic on the tile, and pink and green Chinoiserie wallpaper!) But maybe another day.

Thank you again DecoFabulous for featuring the AV headquarters (aka my apartment) :)

I love soft and romantic hairstyles for weddings, especially those inspired by the Pre-Raphaelite paintings of John William Waterhouse. (A few of his paintings are below for hairstyle inspiration). I hate seeing stiff updos or when curls are hairsprayed to death so they resemble wood shavings. (LOL!) I will need to find a tutorial for the braided bun look. I've tried mimicking the style on myself without much success.

Inspired by fashion and art of the 18th century and the Victorian era, "Dauphine Darling" is a new jewelry line that will soon be available at { AdoreVintage }. The jewelry line consists of all new pieces but will always have that romantic old world aesthetic.

{ click to visit Dauphine Darling at AdoreVintage }

Stock will be very limited in quantity as { AdoreVintage } will only be carrying 1-3 pieces of each style. All the prices will be budget friendly ranging from $16-$64 (earrings to more elaborate necklaces). I hope you liked the preview images and just as excited as I am for the new jewelry line!

Spring Inside.

Well, Penelope might be my long lost twin when it comes to vintage clothing and collecting. (Sorry, that's a tad creepy to say...) But, I must note that I own the same bunny mask (I was the "White Rabbit" for Halloween last year) and I too own hat boxes and that same traveling case (although mine is caramel colored). Hmmm... and the vintage pictures pinned up with clothespin, why, I've got the very same motif above my desk!

Anyhow, without further ado...
