Almost 3 years ago I signed up for this cool little app called Instagram posting pictures of my life's little happenings (cheese and wine afternoons with friends, farmers' market on Sundays...) and then it lead into little behind the scene peeks of what it was and is like to be a online vintage shopkeeper.

Throughout these few years it has been a wonderful joy (and sometimes bittersweet) to look back at these old photos and see where Adored Vintage and myself have come. While Instagram is the place where I share beauty and loveliness to inspire those that follow Adored Vintage on Instagram, it isn't lost to me all the not so lovely real life moments not shared and captured.

These photos from our Instagram are amongst our top liked photos ever. In a couple years time AV went from a few hundred followers to over 25,000 and I am humbled, overjoyed, and to be quite honest a little shock. Thank you for being inspiring and hopefully inspired!

Aya of Strawberry Koi recently posted these beautiful photos of her wearing the Adorevintage 1950s "Papillon De Nuit" Dress and of course I had to share! I just adore how she paired it with the little beaded collar and kept everything else classic and basic with sheer black tights and little black heels. J'adore!

Can I share a little secret? A few years ago I happened upon Apartment Therapy and made a little wish in my heart to someday grace the virtual pages of this most amazing website. And last week I received an email from an editor making my wish come true... did I squeal like a school girl who has a boy band crush into a pillow...absolutely! So, here is my little House Call feature on Apartment Therapy!

Some of the comments asked about the Swan Lake mosaic in the bathroom, and seeing as a House Tour wasn't doable since we couldn't schedule the photographer to snap pictures of our apartment BEFORE it was all packed up... that picture won't be shown on Apartment Therapy...however... here is the craziest bathroom in Los Angeles in all its glory!


So when I said in the Apartment Therapy post... "Our bathroom never fails to make people gasp, I don't blame them, there is a mosaic of Swan Lake after all by the bathtub! I know it's weird to really like a bathroom, bathrooms never get featured, but I have to say, ours is pretty snazzy." - you can probably see why.

Adore Vintage is U.S. based site that specializes in vintage dresses and jewelry. The collection includes antique clothing from the early 20th century to " Mad Men " inspired dresses from the 1950s. Adore vintage also offers wedding dresses and dresses inspired by the wardrobe of Zooey Deschanel.

The front cover and back cover of the new Winter Issue of Cellardoor Magazine features the vintage 1960s Russian Folktale Coat, vintage 1940s Feathered Sunset Hat, and the vintage 1960s Zooey inspired Green Tea Cake Dress peeking out from the coat.


The back cover also features coats from Adorevintage! The vintage 1930s Autumn Equinox Coat, and the vintage 1960s Black Forest Coat.

I was pleasantly surprised to see { my apartment } featured on the lovely DecoFabulous in the "Real Home Tours" category. While this isn't necessarily about AdoreVintage, the article does mention how the editor thought it a bit surprising that the apartment is quite contemporary.


Ahhh, I'm married you see and when a very girly girl who loves antiques meets a very Mid-Century modern boy, we have to compromise. I haven't posted any photos of the bathroom which is incredibly vintage and feminine. (Pink tub, "Swan Lake" mosaic on the tile, and pink and green Chinoiserie wallpaper!) But maybe another day.
